AOL reported that she died on Aug. 16, 2026, and ITV News reported that a representative confirmed her death the following Monday. Fox News Digital reported that no cause of death had been announced. For anyone who grew up around screens in the last 30 years, Panettiere was one of those faces that seemed to arrive early and then keep finding new rooms to walk into: the football kid, the cheerleader who could not be broken, the country singer with a smile sharp enough to draw blood. ## Hayden Panettiere's Family Asked for Privacy After Her Death ITV News reported that Panettiere's father, Skip Panettiere, shared a family statement remembering her as an "incredible light" and asking for privacy while the family processed the loss.
