A remake of the 1981 film of the same name directed by Sidharth's father Bharathan, it stars Sidharth Bharathan alongside Rima Kallingal and Jishnu Raghavan in the main roles. It marks the second collaboration of Jishnu and Sidharth after Nammal (2002) and comeback of Jishnu. Sidharth co-wrote the adapted screenplay with Santhosh Echikkanam. The songs were composed by Jassie Gift and the background score by Prashant Pillai.
