## Synopsis

The Hunter is a 1980 American biographical action-thriller film directed by Buzz Kulik and starring Steve McQueen, along with Eli Wallach, Kathryn Harrold, LeVar Burton, Ben Johnson and Richard Venture. It is based on the life and career of bounty hunter Ralph "Papa" Thorson, and is adapted from Christopher Keane's biography of Thorson.
