# Josephine Lovett

actor, screenwriter.

An American scenario writer who worked in pictures from 1916 to 1935 and specialised in heroines who were economically and sexually independent — at a time when that had to be written past a censor. Her screenplay for Our Dancing Daughters (1928) made Joan Crawford a star and was nominated for the Academy Award for writing.
