Into the Darkness

Into the Darkness is a 2020 Danish drama film directed by Anders Refn. It is the first of two films following the members of the Skov family as they live through the first years of Denmark's involvement in World War II, from the German invasion in April 1940 until the end of 1942 and the imminent defeat of Axis forces engaged in the Battle of Stalingrad in the Soviet Union. The sequel Out of the Darkness depicts the family as it navigates the later years of the war.
