Synopsis

The Lodger is a 1932 British thriller film directed by Maurice Elvey, and starring Ivor Novello, Elizabeth Allan, and Jack Hawkins. It was written by Miles Mander, Paul Rotha, H. Fowler Mear and Ivor Novello based on the 1913 novel The Lodger by Marie Belloc Lowndes. The film was released in the United States in 1935 in truncated form, as The Phantom Fiend.
